…but in the moment, the process was so enjoyable, Mark – especially standing at the huge easel. Thank you for making the day worthwhile, absorbing, enjoyable and encouraging. You put a lot of energy into it all. I’m a dreadful cynic and whilst seemingly absorbed can pick up on many things. I appreciated your positive comments but I can see I’ve a long way to go and felt I should have been a little more open to your guidance and learn more technique. Warm good wishes,

Hi Mark,

Thank you very much for your guidance with Laura on her portfolio preparation.
I was amazed at how much she has improved during the 4 day course with you.
It has boosted her confidence a lot and she is delighted with the work so far on the portfolio.
She will definitely try to fit in some more classes with you before the Leaving Cert 2012.

Your own work is brilliant. I am still thinking of the close up painting of the horse.
The nostrils were so life like I could almost see him breathe! You are truly gifted.

Kind regards

“Mark, May I take this opportunity to complement you on the portfolio course you offer to students. It was very beneficial for Declan. He found the course very fulfilling and focused and it helped him produce some of his best work to date. Not alone did his artwork improve immensely but since his return we note he has become more focused and organised with his study skills for the Leaving Certificate. He has also gained confidence in himself since attending the course. Thank you so much for all your help.”

“Absolutely brilliant!! Didn’t really have a clue what to do coming here but Mark helped a lot – made me use mediums I didn’t like but gave an overall brilliant effect (cough, chalk, cough!). Really relaxing but got a lot done at the same time, arrived a day late but Mark helped me get up to speed and was just a brilliant teacher and advisor! This course is the only reason I’ll have a portfolio done and a shot at NCAD. Thanks a mil Mark!”
